Your books are already written by the time your CA asks for them

Every invoice, receipt, credit note, supplier bill and payment posts to a real double-entry ledger the moment it happens. Trial balance, P&L and balance sheet are live views of the business you already ran — not a month-end re-entry exercise someone bills you for.

No credit card required. Set up in 15 minutes.

Without it

  • ×Your CA rekeys a year of invoices into accounting software every quarter, and bills you for the typing
  • ×The ledger and the operations system disagree, and nobody can say which one is wrong
  • ×Bank statement reconciliation is a printout, a highlighter, and a Saturday
  • ×One customer payment covering nine invoices gets recorded as nine guesses
  • ×Depreciation is computed by hand at year end, twice — once for the books, once for the tax return
  • ×Someone edits a March entry in October and the audited numbers quietly stop matching

With Travel Softdrive

  • Ledger entries post automatically from the documents your team already raises — no second data entry anywhere
  • One source of truth: the ledger is derived from operations, so the two cannot drift apart
  • Import a bank statement and match lines against real transactions, including one line that settles many invoices
  • Trial balance, P&L, balance sheet and day book available for any date range, any time
  • Fixed asset register keeps two depreciation books side by side — Companies Act for your accounts, Income Tax WDV for the return
  • Lock a period once it is filed and the numbers stop moving behind you

What's inside

Double-entry ledger, posted from operations

Invoices, credit and debit notes, receipts, supplier bills, payments and adjustments post to the general ledger as they are created. The ledger is not a copy of your operations — it is generated from them, which is why it cannot fall out of sync.

Chart of accounts and manual journals

A chart of accounts you control, with subledgers per customer and supplier. Raise manual journal vouchers for anything the system did not originate — accruals, provisions, corrections — with full narration.

Trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, day book

The four statements your accountant actually opens, for any period you choose, drillable down to the individual entry and the document that created it.

Bank reconciliation with statement import

Import your bank statement and reconcile against real transactions. A single bank credit can be matched across many invoices — the common case in this business, and the one spreadsheets handle worst.

Fixed assets with two depreciation books

Vehicles and equipment in a proper asset register. Depreciation runs on the Companies Act basis for your books and on the Income Tax written-down-value basis for your return, tracked separately so neither has to be rebuilt at year end.

Period locks

Close a month once it is filed. Locked periods refuse new postings and edits, so a return you already submitted keeps agreeing with the ledger behind it.

Opening balances that survive migration

Bring party-wise and entity-wise opening balances across when you move onto the platform, so day one starts from where your old books ended rather than from zero.

Receipts, payments and fund transfers

Money in, money out, and movement between your own accounts, each recorded as a proper voucher against the right ledger. Cash and bank positions stay current without a separate cash book running alongside.

Frequently asked questions

Does this replace my accounting software?+

For most car rental operators, yes — the ledger, statements, bank reconciliation, asset register and period controls are all here, built from operations data rather than re-entered from it. Operators who keep a separate accounting package usually do so because their auditor prefers it, and even then the platform removes the data entry: the books are already correct here, so the handoff is an export rather than a retype.

Is the ledger real double-entry, or just a report?+

Real double-entry. Every transaction writes balanced ledger entries against accounts in your chart of accounts, with customer and supplier subledgers underneath. The reports are views over those entries, which is why the trial balance actually balances.

What happens to the ledger if someone edits an invoice?+

The postings are corrected along with the document, and the change is recorded in the activity trail with who did it and when. Once a period is locked, edits into that period are refused outright — which is the point of locking it.

Can I run books for more than one GST registration?+

Yes. Operators running multiple registered entities keep separate books per registration, so each GSTIN produces its own statements and its own returns rather than one merged set that has to be split at year end.

Do I pay extra for accounting?+

No. Accounting, payroll, compliance and reporting are all part of the platform. There is one price — the credit you spend on a booking — and nothing on top of it.
